Finally going to A school

Well after 3 years in the Coast Guard (prior 4 years in the AF) I finally got my name on the A school list I wanted! I'm number 15 out 188! The reason I had to wait so long was because this is a brand new school and I'll be in the second class ever! The school is 9 1/2 weeks long and is in South Carolina at FLETC, which is even more awesome. After all these years the Coast Guard will finally have a Law Enforcement rate. This is a very exciting time for my wife and I, with the birth of our daughter and now this everything is starting to look up for us!

Awesome news, congrats! It will suck to be away from the wife and new born, but I am sure it will be worth it in the long run!

My youngest son was born while I was at FLETC (Georgia). So I know the feeling. It will be worth it though.
